great balls of dust

May 27, 2006

weird show last night somewhere between two streets in downtown tel aviv. dust was a-plenty. we did a short set , mostly new songs and some older ones. i was told the sound was fine outside, but when standing in the midst of it you couldnt really make out any distinct notes. try playing our shit without hearing the drums. the guys who arranged for this (along with our bass player Avishy) were really cool and some of our friends came to show support. there were some very surreal things going on there which made the whole scene worth happening : Ami from Monotonix climbing a wall and "dust-surfing" on his chest and people sitting on the nearby hills (more like piles of construction-rubble and industrial garbage) watching the show like it were some outdoor festival.

our next show will be at the patiphone club (10.6) with Monotonix and Hameytarim. wonderful wonderful noise. we miss you already. come see us again soon.

thats what you get for using dirty earplugs – a goddam infection. yesterday, while i was at home dying of pain i got a nice e-mail from themusicedge.com saying our album finally got reviewed, and Rotem, our photoguy, sent me some pictures of the venue i plan on holding a folk festival at. this is a picture of the outside :

oh and the script to our animated music video is complete. we'll be reviewing it tommorow together with ariel who is the animator and writer for this video. see if you can guess what song its for.

damn today was hot! we played a short set on tel-aviv university’s student day event. the stage was way too high and the sound was hella weak, but we managed to have fun anyway and walk away with mild injuries. our next show is supposed to be killer (secret street show on June 26th), we’ll be sure to let you all know when and where it’l go down. xo, lebanon.

it aint much…

but its gonna be home in a few weeks after we finish working on it. i took the picture this morning with my digital. wasnt much lighting and i coulnt really step back enough to give you the whole view but you get the idea. small, stale, concrete and very very much our own. oh we have a show on 11.5 at the tel aviv university, we go on 12:30 sharp so dont be late or youl just be able to see us sleeping on the grass. look for the alternative stage. we'll be hanging out at the hotdog stand mostly. watch out for those cell phone company creeps.
no place like home (no smoking yeah right)

(no smoking…. yeah right)

we're gonna be using this blog here as our news section from now on. we'll have updates about the band here, updates about the upcoming U.S tour and some random comments. This will also be a means to try and keep in touch, during the time we're on tour, with everyone we know and anyone whos bored enough to read this. On that notion, tommorow we will have first pictures of our new working space. Also, our U.S tour is almost completely booked! We're gonna be playing with some awesome bands on this tour, so we really can't wait. We have had some thoughts lately of doing shows at art galleries in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, combining some sort of Installation/Video/Exhibition with our own live act.
