blazing a trail through the midwest with our new tranny

yes. new transmission. 50,000 miles guaranteed by GM. we played 2 more house shows in Seattle and a cafe show which we all got by luck (all shows were very fun and we really appreciate peoples help while we were stranded), we moved from house to house with all our gear, bags and sleeping stuff, but then out of nowhere the garage calls and says the car is ready. so we drove to Boise almost, died of exhaustion, and the next morning drove the rest of the way to Salt Lake City.

Show in SLC was really nice, at a dive bar called Burts Tiki Lounge. We met good people there who took us in, and we’re now getting ready to hit Denver in about 7 hours.

van breakdown #2

ok. we’re stuck again. in seattle. no bellingham show. maybe no spokane show as well. we’re stuck. again. we are defenatly cursed. the transmission is total loss. we need to be here in seattle for the next 3 days. this is going to set us back about 13 hours of driving.  we’re hanging out at the camp nowhere house, and they are kind enough to let us. such a weird combination of bad and good luck. hope we make it out of the east coast.

hey maybe we’ll break the record in breakdowns on tour and we’ll get a money prize. haha…. that was so funny.

bad week coming to portland

a streak of bad shows will hopefuly come to an end in portland tonight at the ground kontrol arcade alley. our new van broke down (!!!) but it turned out to be just the battery connections. chico was just ok (all the bands on the bill were awesome, but there were very few people), arcata cancelled without notice, eugene was just weird, with no local support there was hardly anyone there. atleast we caught a movie on the road (see “balls of fury”, youl never regret it), and slept well at some good people’s houses.

ok, portland, olympia, seattle and bellingham. looking forward to it!

san francisco is cosmic

we played with akimbo in los angeles on the floor of the smell. turns out akimbo’s drummer is jewish  and actually visited israel in 94. weird. we’re talking to these guys about coming to israel perhaps in april. should be awesome, these guys really kick some ass. we said goodbye to our friends pony pants and went on to san francisco. there were more hebrew speaking people at that show then ever before, and it was strange and great at the same time to hear alot of people speaking your language in a forgein surrounding. the show was good, but we had more UMPH in l.a . . oh weel, tommorow is chico with experimental dental school , the americas and planets, fucking awesome bill. check it out if you live in the area, should be crazy.

i exepected san diego to suck big time. boy was i wrong ! what a show ! 100 people packed in a small bar, all very loving and loud and drunk, just the way we like them. we met new friends pony pants , they played first and were just great and fun, 2 metal sounding guitars with an ipod for a drummer and a very happy singer with the right attitude. tonight we’re playing with them again at the smell in LA, also with Akimbo and Hundreds and Thousands. should be a good show. looking forward to it.  tommorow san francisco, what a great state.

broken glass and bloodstains

12 hours straight driving to get to tucson on time for the show. we’re all very very very tired of the past
couple of days, we get to the show and are so thankful we drink everything offered to us. two hours later
the shows over after we self destruct. avishai pukes all over pelican and monos soundmans truck after the tucson show,
on the way back to his house. we slept on the floor and avishai took the bed. then he puked all over the bed as well.

with many oaths never to drink so much again and destroy our own shows, we hit the road to phoenix.
after spending 5 hours at guitar center and a costume shop to escape the heat, we arrive at the house we’re playing.
willie’s house is big and comfy and we slowly sink into an evening snooze. 4 bands and 3-4 beers later we wake up. hardly
anyones left to see our show. just the bands and some people that hung out outside the house. no matter we say to ourselves.
we hook everything up and BAM, bass cab blows. yeah, sounds just about right. then BAM, guitar amp quits too. fuck this.
but five minutes later we fix everything and the show kicks off. actualy turned out to be one of the best shows we played
this tour. it would defenatly win bizzarest show ever. band before us broke a whiskey bottle on the floor and then jumped
on it leaving  the floor bloody, wet and sticky. we slid around, played on the staircase, kicked each other, sweated alot,
then crashed on the floor upstairs for a quick nights sleep. we’ve got some great footage from this show. hopefuly we’ll be
compiling a tour dvd so this is def gonna be on it.

fifth band member – vany the van

oh my god where do i begin. ok today was the suckiest day ever in the history of our lives. the van was unfixable so we hitched a ride to Oklahoma city. we looked for a van rental company that told us on the phone that they will rent us a van but then when we got there they said they cant rent it to us. what the fuck. then we went to look for a van to buy. thats when the serious hitchhiking began, every agency drove us from one to the next as we looked for the perfect van. and finally… we found it ! yes a 2001 chevrolet express van, with 60,000 miles on it for 10 grand. we took the car back to our stranded van in clinton ok (fucking shithole die motherfucker.. sorry mom) and rescued our gear. then we drove half the night till amarilo texas where we are staying now. tommorow we have another 10 hour drive to tucson, and we’re back in business. fucking a

stranded on route 66, or, you never lose till you quit trying

van breaks down on route 66 outside of clinton, OK. we spent the night there missing our roswell show and hoping to reach our ABQ show. we are either going to fix this van, get a new one or rent a new one. anyway we all have a burning feeling we must escape clinton, and as soon as possible. bad luck continues. good luck ahead?

madness in denton

cops busted the party show we were supposed to play in denton. we thought it was all over, but OH NO. “party is moving to secret headquarters!” , whats that ? well, its DIY venue downtown. ok so this was super good BAD LUCK cause we got the sweetest spot and there were people there from both the show that was going on before we came and all the people from the party. all and all that made 200 people packed in a small gallery space. madness ! we have this show on video, its so wonderfuly chaotic. our dreams really did come true. what a great town. i said it once and ill say it again – DENTON ROCKS!

ok off to Oklahoma City….
